Human Resources Assistant – Full-Time


Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant plays an essential role in supporting daily HR operations and ensuring the smooth flow of information within the department. This position provides clerical and administrative support while assisting with employee onboarding, personnel records, recruitment activities, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, adaptable, and committed to providing excellent internal customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Administration

  • Prepare and maintain accurate personnel files and HR documentation
  • Process and organize new employee paperwork and scan records into shared systems
  • Update HR databases and generate departmental reports
  • Track annual employee reviews and document competencies
  • Grade and maintain annual competency assessments
  • Create employee name badges and set up employee email accounts
  • Prepare monthly employment reports
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure timely record management
  • Assist with job and career fairs
  • Support employee celebrations, recognition programs, and company events

 

Clerical and Administrative Support

  • Assist with special projects and departmental assignment
  • Prepare correspondence and requests for missing employee documentation
  • Generate recruitment mailing labels and support hiring outreach efforts
  • Coordinate company cell phone plans and employee devices
  • Manage employee recognition, sympathy, and celebratory gifts
  • Monitor and help maintain employee credential compliance
  • Assist with company announcements and SharePoint communication

 

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency with computer systems, databases, and office software
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Some college/medical experience preferred
