Description

The HR/Administrative Assistant provides support to managers and employees in Human Resources and the Manufacturing Departments through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. In this role, the Administrative Assistant will welcome guests, manage phone calls, and maintain the organization of files, scheduling, and other duties as assigned. Vectorply’s HR/Administrative Assistant should be dependable, driven, and outgoing.

Requirements

·         Human Resources skills and experience (a plus)

·         Office clerical experience – answering phones, greeting guests, scanning or filing documents

·         Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

·         Ability to work cohesively in a team environment

·         Outgoing personality with a strong initiative

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office products

·         Available to work flexibly outside of normal business hours as necessary

Summary

Vectorply is a privately-owned company with headquarters in Phenix City, AL. The company employs approximately 190 employees between administration, sales, engineering, and production and produces more than 300 different styles of reinforcement fabrics for a wide variety of composites applications. Vectorply supplies the vast composites industry with materials from our 200,000 sq. ft production facility in Alabama, along with international manufacturing partners. We are currently seeking an HR/Administrative Assistant. 

Experience/Skills

Organizational Skills

·         Manage production log inventory.

·       Coordinate pre-employment scheduling, background checks, reference verifications, profile changes, and payroll distributions.

·         Scan and index accounting and manufacturing files.

Interpersonal Communication

·         Work with employees to resolve a wide variety of issues.

·         Greet guests and manage incoming calls as needed.

·         Provide direct support for Human Resources and other departments as needed.

Administrative Duties

·         Produce and distribute manufacturing reports.

·         Become the backup for processing payroll.

·         Assist with new employee orientation.

·         Administer payroll, human resource and safety reporting.
