CDS is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our distribution facility in 📍Stockton, California. This position partners closely with facility leadership and the Corporate Human Resources team to provide day-to-day Human Resources support in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This is a hands-on HR role where you'll spend time both in the office and on the warehouse floor, building relationships with employees and supporting operations. No two days are the same. You'll gain experience across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement while working alongside an experienced Corporate Human Resources team.
✔ What You'll Do
- Partner with facility leadership and the Corporate Human Resources team to support daily HR operations.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard hourly employees.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors by answering HR-related questions and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Partner with managers to provide guidance on attendance, performance documentation, policy interpretation, and employee development.
- Conduct routine employee relations discussions and workplace investigations while partnering with the Human Resources Manager on more complex employee relations matters.
- Review employee time records, process payroll changes, assist with payroll administration, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Support employee benefits enrollment, leave administration, workers' compensation, and other HR programs.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings, drug testing, background checks, and new hire onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records in compliance with federal, state, and California employment laws.
- Build positive working relationships by maintaining a visible presence throughout the warehouse and interacting with employees daily.
- Assist with employee communications, engagement initiatives, training coordination, and other Human Resources projects.
- Exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and build trust with employees and leaders.
✔ What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and Human Resources experience.
- Two or more years of Human Resources experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, or related HR functions.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience using an HRIS and payroll system; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
- California Human Resources experience is a plus.

This position is based at our Stockton, California, facility and requires regular interaction with employees and supervisors throughout the warehouse. Candidates should be comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments and walking the production floor several times throughout the day.
