MG Oil is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician in the Rapid City area!

Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and installing commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure peak efficiency and longevity.
  • Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data.
  • Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction environments with a strong foundation in HVAC service technician roles.
  • Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, plumbing, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Field service experience with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently on-site.
  • Familiarity with HVAC design principles and property maintenance practices.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; skilled in equipment repair including welding when required.
