CRISP Shared Services (CSS) serves as the technology partner for health information exchange (HIE) partners in Maryland, DC, West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, and other jurisdictions. CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems in order to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data-driven understanding of regional public health concerns.
Job Summary
The Implementation Manager will be responsible for supporting and implementing health information exchange activities across CRISP Shared Services clients and affiliates. The Implementation Manager will be leading implementation efforts of CRISP products and services with multiple affiliates and clients. This role will require coordination and partnership across various teams. The Implementation Manager will have the opportunity to play a major role in the HIT enabled transformation of healthcare.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Primary point of contact for all implementation and onboarding activity for CSS Partner projects and initiatives. Responsible for projects that vary in complexity across multiple CSS partners.
- Define scope and gather requirements for assigned projects, draft modifications/new feature requests for existing projects.
- Develop documents and collateral required for the implementation (e.g. requirements, statements of work, project plans, etc.).
- Build and maintain customer relationships communicating regularly with stakeholders and participants to ensure business needs are met by implemented solutions.
- Train Partner staff on onboarding process, implementation workflow, product features
- Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage areas requiring process improvement.
- Effectively manage and coordinate both internal and external technical teams.
- Understand implications of policy on projects and agreements/policy changes needed in place.
- Ensure implementations are moving forward, identify blockers, and find solutions to work through blockers.
- In short, make products and services work for new and existing customers!

Required Skills
- Strong relationship management skills, meeting with stakeholders and participants multiple times a week.
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to gather requirements and manage multiple priorities (individually and for a team).
- Ability to operate both within a team and as an independent contributor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A desire to be great and a track record of setting and achieving goals is required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with program management and administration.
- Experience with Mirth Connect, HL7 interfaces, FHIR interfaces.
- Knowledge of network connectivity principles (VPN, SFTP, TLS, certificates, etc).
- 1-2 years of Agile/Scrum methodology, experience with Atlassian products Jira, Confluence, Trello.
- Understanding of health information technology and/or health information exchange.
- Business analysis experience.
- Experience in public health or heath care.
Experience and/or Education Requirements
4-year college degree
4+ years of working in public health or healthcare arena
4+ years of Health IT program management or project management
Business Analyst experience preferred
MPH or MHA preferred
Summary
Compensation and Benefits Package
- Targeted base salary: $100k - $120k per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and bonuses.
- Benefits include the following but are not limited to health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. CSS also has a 403(b) plan with discretionary employer match and contributions. You will be eligible for 20 days of Paid Time Off per year (accrued in accordance with CSS' policies). PTO is in addition to 8 company designated holidays. If you are not PTO eligible, you may be eligible for applicable state and/or local sick and safe leave in accordance with the provisions of any applicable state and/or local sick and safe leave laws.
