As an Industrial Engineer, you will independently design 2D/3D layouts and drive sustainable process optimization across the assembly and logistics value chain using lean methodologies. Serving as an experienced continuous improvement leader, you will challenge, mentor, and support colleagues at all levels of the organization to foster a culture of efficiency, operating as an influential leader.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead of projects involving the planning, optimization and implementation of assembly and logistic areas
  • Implementation of lean principles in a sustainable manner to eliminate waste throughout the entire value stream
  • Ability to create innovative logistic concepts (e.g. sequential material delivery, kanban, milk run systems) to ensure optimal material supply
  • Analyze existing processes and design efficient value stream to reduce throughput time
  • Design and creation of detailed production layouts and assembly lines in 2D and 3D
  • Acting as a counterpart for team leader and management to lead and drive CIP initiatives
  • Challenge colleagues (across all levels of the hierarchy) to continuously drive CIP on the shop floor
  • Contribute to global portfolio expansion and enable production to carry out on-site assembly
  • Development and implementation of an appropriate key performance indicator system
  • Document new processes and create clear standard operating procedures for shop floor employees

 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience optimizing assembly operations and material flow specifically within a discrete manufacturing or mechanical assembly environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experienced with lean systems and integration in a manufacturing and Assembly environment
  • Experienced with Toyota Production System (TPS) in small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) environment
  • Experience in leading workshops to optimize assembly and warehouse processes
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean Methods (e.g. 5s, Kaizen/CIP, VSM, Kanban, Root-cause analysis, etc.)
  • Lean certification strongly preferred
  • Ability to create production layouts in 2D and 3D
  • Ability to travel 10% using all forms of public transport including air travel
  • Valid drivers’ license and passport
