The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for periodic maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to repair or replace minor and major system components, including electrical parts hydraulics, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering, transmissions and engines.
- Troubleshoot forklift related issues.
- Perform proper preventative maintenance (PMs) in a timely manner.
- Service and repair other miscellaneous types of equipment including electric carts, trailers and yard equipment.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Forklift Mechanic
- Must be willing to work 1st shift
- Must pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, background check, physical, Functional Capacity & Respirator exams
- Job requires frequent reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching
- Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
- Ability to work in a team environment
