In this position, you'll work with a variety of heavy industrial machinery, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs, and executing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Job Description:

Pay: $33–$42/hr base pay (based on experience) + year end bonus
+ $6/hr shift differential for hours worked Friday–Sunday (starting at 5:00 AM)
💰 Average Annual: $90K–$114K

2 Schedule Options Available

Option 1: Fri–Mon 4:30 AM – 4:30 PM (or 5am-5pm)
Option 2: Thurs–Sun 4:30 AM – 4:30 PM (or 5am-5pm)

Location: Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, Limerick, and surrounding areas)

Job Description:

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.
Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, valves, solenoids and pumps
Identify and make hydraulic hoses as needed
Advanced welding and fabrication skills. Must perform stick welding in various positions, locations and weld various types of joints
Ability to properly operate band saws, torch, drill presses, grinders and other shop tools
Performs installation of new equipment. Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
Familiar with interference fits and bearing heaters
Start or jog equipment to perform maintenance tasks
Basic electrical troubleshooting.
Test malfunctioning machinery, identifying parts needed and complete repairs
Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:

3 + years’ experience working in Industrial Maintenance.
Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery
Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts
Advanced stick welding and fabrication skills repairing heavy industrial equipment
Basic understanding of motor controls, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and VFDs (variable frequency drives) is preferred
Experience working with CMMS software
Basic industrial electrical experience
Experienced with rigging, hoisting, and equipment installation
Experienced with precision alignment and fine adjustments
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if needed
