About the Department

 
  • Manages a potential multi-shift operation located within Livesay correctional institution. 

  • Coordinates with contractor to ensure production requirements are met. 

  • Provides services in the most efficient & economical manner while supervising/teaching inmates skills that can be utilized upon their release. 

  • Select, train and evaluate personnel. 

  • Establish an effective quality control program with proper waste control.  

  • Maintains a work environment that is safe & healthy in accordance to state and OSHA requirements.  

  • Directs the Attendance of 60 + inmate workers and prepares the necessary reports. 

  • Coordinates activities with the contractor, institutional personnel and industries. 

  • Schedule subject to change to meet the demands of the industry.      

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.


SCDC Minimum Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience

OR

  • An associate degree with 2 years relevant program experience

OR

  • A high school diploma and 4 years relevant program experience.
