Objective of job:

• To provide support to the injection molding department by removing and installing molds as required. 

 

Principal activities:

•    Safely operate PIT's and overhead crane in order to deliver/install materials/molds to the injection molding department.


•    Properly load molds into the injection molding machines according to the work instructions while adhering to SMED principles.


•    Properly remove molds from the injection molding machines according to the work instructions while adhering to SMED principles.


•    Properly store molds that are not in use according to the work instructions.


•    Effectively communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding problems with the material flow, absence of materials, and safety/quality concerns.


•    Place an emergency work order form and inform maintenance in case of equipment problems..


•    Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles.


•    Performs PIT/overhead crane inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order and follows all safety guidelines for the work area.


•    Communicates effectively with tool shop in case of problems with tools and with resin techs in case of problems with color or materials.


•    Support the quality technicians and process technicians in the identification of root cause by giving them the required information.


•    Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 ears of Manufacturing experience 


• Strong knowledge of SMED

Shift: 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM rotating days off.
