Lead Installation Projects in a Growing Market

Due to continued team growth in the La Crosse area, we are hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead residential installation projects from start to finish.

PURPOSE: 
A Window & Door Install Project Manager (IPM) ensures contract and installation accuracy through verbal and written communication with customers and employees. This includes site visits, measuring, recording, ordering, and confirmations on all aspects of the post-sale window department process.
 
PAY/SCHEDULE:
As for compensation, this role has a base plus bonus structure. The base salary would be $75k plus bonus which is based off of several metrics including the accuracy of your measures for the job and customer experience.
 
• We service south central WI and Northern Illinois. Each day starts at our office in Waunakee and drive time to the customer location can be anywhere from 10minutes to 1.5 hours. (2miles to 100 miles).
 
Your morning will typically start around 6:30 - 7AM Monday - Friday and you will be prepping and loading up the proper windows and other materials needed to complete the scheduled jobs for that day. Each week you will be assigned about 20 site visits that can include tech measures, project evaluation, or even helping with installing windows. Day typically finishes at 3:30pm. 50% travel required in and around Dane County and the other 50% is at our Waunakee office - 1001 Frank H Street in Waunakee, WI 53597.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accurately measure the dimensions and determine installation processes for windows and doors
• Provide installation solutions that match customer expectations, adapts production specifications to the installation requirements, utilizing a thorough knowledge of Renewal Products
• Determines installation labor duration and installation materials needed to successfully complete the job.
• Completes and submits required job files that are complete, correct and timely providing a quality hand off to internal customers
• Approves any additional installation labor required to complete the job
• Trouble shoots issues with installation crew on day of installation; this may include onsite support to the job.
• Work directly with Homeowners to resolve installation process issues.
• Provide support to sales reps with pre-sale site visits to define project scope and ensure the scope of work is reflected in pricing and contract documents. Provides direction to crews on job specifics and questions during installation
• Supports installation leadership on recruitment of installation sub-contractor
Confirms details within the sales contract to assure customer expectations are in alignment with product features and options and installation process
• Provides feedback to sales representatives when a job goes on hold, works with reps to resolve questions in a quick and efficient manner.
• Communicates with Installation crew on specifics for the jobs, providing advanced notice of unique factors the crew will need to be aware of with the job.
• Pull materials day prior and prepare installers for next day job, warehouse organization and cleanliness, warehouse safety.
 
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 2 years of construction and/or remodeling experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of Window and Door installation experience preferred. Previous customer service experience, especially win/win problem solving and conflict resolution skills required.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to lift, push/pull, and carry at least 40lbs.
• Able to stand for at least 6 hours per day, climb ladders, stairs, and kneel.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction techniques.
• Previous work experience recruiting independent contractors and ability to work in a team environment
 
All our Project Managers go through paid training working with our Master Installers to learn about products and installation process. During that training period you will learn the Renewal by Andersen way. This will include taking measurements, placing orders, taking inventory of all materials needed for each project, troubleshooting and submission of completed files once the project is completed.
