About the Role:

One Insurance of Tennessee is hiring an Insurance Agent specializing in Property & Casualty insurance for the Cookeville, TN market area. This position plays a pivotal role in helping customers understand, select, and purchase insurance policies that best meet their individual or business needs. The primary objective for this position is to provide expert guidance on various insurance products, including life, health, property, and casualty insurance, ensuring customers are well-informed and confident in their decisions. The incumbent in this role would be assigned a large book of business, which requests experience with commercial properties, as it relates to the purchase of insurance policies. This role is required to build and maintain strong relationships with customer by delivering exceptional customer service and personalized solutions. Additionally, the insurance agent and their assigned sales assistant will be responsible for managing policy renewals, claims assistance, and staying current with industry regulations and product offerings. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid state insurance license for the relevant lines of insurance (e.g., life, health, property, casualty).
  • Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the insurance.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with the sale of commercial insurance policies and builder's risk policies.
  • Experience with insurance agency management software and CRM systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential customers through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts.
  • Assess customers' insurance needs by conducting thorough consultations and risk evaluations.
  • Recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options tailored to customer requirements.
  • Prepare and present insurance quotes, explaining policy terms, conditions, and benefits clearly.
  • Assist customers with the application process, policy renewals, and claims submissions.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policies, and transactions in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in insurance laws, products, and market trends to provide up-to-date advice.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, claims adjusters, and other insurance professionals to resolve client issues efficiently.
