Homecare – Insurance Coordinator

Location: Work from Home. Training will be done in office at 986 Tibbetts Wick Rd, Girard, OH 44420

Business HoursMonday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

            The responsibilities of our Insurance Coordinators Include: 

            • Obtain authorization for home health care services for new patients when insurance requires authorization for services
            • Tracks insurance authorizations
            • Adds/edits all patient insurance information
            • Ensures that collection of all Managed Care and third party claims are followed up in accordance with department policies, procedures, and performance goals
            • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor


            Job Conditions:

            • Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
            • It is a primarily a desk job, which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication


            Qualifications:

            • Two years of home healthcare experience or basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
            • Ability to work well under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines and deliver effective results
            • Excellent computer and phone skills
            • Excellent customer service and communication skills
            • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
