Position: Intern – Business Development

Department: Business Development

Reports to: Kate O’Grady

 

SUMMARY AND DETAILS OF POSITION 

We are seeking a motivated, self starting, and detail-oriented intern to join our Business Development department. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the field of clinical research, focusing on the pharmaceutical company relationship and contract negotiation space. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in communication and administrative skills, with a keen interest in contributing to the success of a sales team.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Identify and research clinical trial information relevant to our business model, and adaptive trial platform
  • Lead Generation: Search for the right people at targeted companies and find their contact details. 
  • Client Outreach: Schedule and Coordinate meetings across multiple teams, calendars and time zones
  • Data Tracking: Maintain an accurate and up to date contact list for pharmaceutical partners and other vendors. 
  • Sales Support: You will help prepare pitch decks, redact protocols for presentation and sharing with pharmaceutical partners, and record meeting notes. Prepare meeting agendas and organizational materials for presentations.
  • Internal Development: Support planning of internal lecture series

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a life sciences major.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Duration

  • This is a part-time internship opportunity with a duration of 3 months.
