Description
We are seeking a structured, detail-oriented Internal Benchmarking Specialist to join the AMXL Global Benchmarking team. This role is responsible for executing the frameworks that drive process standardization and variance reduction across AMXL's worldwide heavy-bulky network — including cross-regional site visits, data collection, and best practice documentation that directly inform global operational strategy.
You will support the benchmarking programs that give leadership visibility into how the same processes perform across regions, enabling the identification and horizontal scaling of what works best. Working alongside your peers, you will contribute ideas, surface opportunities for standardization, and help build the intelligence foundation that shapes investment decisions and operational standards across building types and multiple geographies.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in execution with strategic purpose and connects the dots between on-the-ground process observation and network-wide impact, and brings intellectual curiosity about how operational excellence can be systematically replicated at global scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Internal Benchmarking Execution: Execute end-to-end internal benchmarking studies including structured site visits, process audits, and cross-regional data collection per established frameworks.
- Variance Analysis & Data Collection: Gather, organize, and maintain cross-regional and cross-network operational data to support ongoing variance analysis and best practice identification across AMXL.
- Reporting Support: Maintain and update benchmarking dashboards, assemble first-draft variance reports, and support data visualization for senior review and stakeholder consumption.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain and update the team's SharePoint site, regional variance repository, resource library, and file organization to ensure institutional knowledge is accessible and current.
- Best Practice Identification: Proactively identify high-performing processes across regions, document root causes of success, and support the development of scaling playbooks that enable horizontal transfer of best practices across the network.
- Cross-Team Engagement: Support working group sessions and provide execution-level updates to cross-functional partners on internal benchmarking findings and standardization progress.

About the team
The AMXL Global Benchmarking team drives competitive intelligence and operational excellence across Amazon's worldwide heavy-bulky logistics network. Our AMXL network is a cornerstone of operations, facilitating the seamless delivery of oversized and specialized items to customers' doorsteps. The Internal Benchmarking function within this team focuses on cross-regional and cross-network variance analysis — measuring how the same processes perform across different regions, identifying where best practices exist, and building the playbooks that enable rapid scaling of what works. We translate internal performance data into actionable standards and recommendations that drive process standardization, reduce variance, and support AMXL's growth strategy. We are a small, high-impact team that values intellectual curiosity, structured execution, and a passion for understanding how operational excellence can be systematically replicated across a global network.
