Job Description

Abbey Capital Ltd is an Irish alternative investment manager which specialises in managing multi-manager portfolios in managed futures. Founded in 2000 it has grown to become one of the largest managers of multi-manager managed futures funds globally. Abbey Capital’s investor base stretches throughout North America, Europe and Asia and comprises pension funds, foundations, endowments, charities, broker-dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, multi-family offices and clients of major private banks. 

Abbey Capital (US) LLC is seeking an Internal Sales Associate to join its US distribution team that primarily focuses on sales and client service activities within the broker-dealer & RIA channels. The candidate must be a self-starter who can work off their own initiative and be part of a global team. In addition, he or she must be very organized and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This is a primarily office-based role and the successful candidate will be based in our New York Office with some flexibility to work from home where required.

Responsibilities include:  

  • Working to support external wholesalers with scheduling meetings, reaching out to set up introduction meetings / Zooms and assisting with travel planning and ad hoc tasks. 
  • Working in partnership with external wholesaler to develop sales plan for given territory and execute that plan accordingly - focusing on all levels of the sales process (acquisition,developmentand retention) 
  • Proactively market to new and existingdistribution partners and investors(via outbound phone calls and/or emails) in preparation for upcoming visit by external wholesaler to respective region; securemeeting appointments and coordinate triplogisticswith administrative travel planner 
  • Assistthe external wholesaler with client relationship management - manage and resolvequestions,requestsand deliverables 
  • Perform research to find new business leads and opportunities 
  • Stay current and fluent on market events and competitive landscape 
  • Develop and implement call campaigns 
  • Additionalprojects and ad hoc tasks asrequired

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Series 7 and 63 licenserequired
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred 
  • Prior experience with mutual funds or alternative investments preferred 
  • Results focused with excellent attention to detail
  • Team-player with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Experience with Sales Force and/or CRM software
