Summary/Objective
The Interviewer/ESL Coordinator is responsible for screening and interviewing job seekers to work order specifications for employment with MAU at client sites, setting appointments for interviews, supporting new hire orientations, and sourcing candidates from various sources. Interviewers support administrative tasks such as data entry, receptionist duties and data processing within company systems. This position will also be responsible for engaging in bilingual interviews in both English and Spanish, translating in-person and phone interview notes into English within the Applicant Tracking System.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with typical work hours being Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Periodic nights and weekends may be required as needed.
Essential Functions
Use staffing software to search and pre-screen applicants for BMW to check eligibility for hire.
Communicate job offers to ESL candidates and schedule/reschedule orientations.
Conduct and translate all ESL orientations.
Provide in person and over the phone translation support to BMW on-site team in various communications including but not limited to counsel, terminations and disciplinary actions.
Engage with client personnel and ESL candidates at medical facility to welcome and sign in Applicants for their Physical assessment.
Assist ESL candidates with completing required paperwork for appointments at medical facility.
Manage ESL candidate list for future physical schedule appointments.
Maintain and follow a schedule for interviews each day.
Enforce MAU guidelines and policies daily which can include interactions with applicants, verbally explaining their eligibility for an interview.
Conduct research for applicants that have worked with a client before and maintain records.
Translating Spanish interview notes into English within our Applicant Tracking System.
Conduct bilingual, Spanish and English, behavioral-based interviews in a timely manner.
Translating documentation for candidates and for internal process documentation.
Administer assessments to evaluate applicants’ skill levels and review results with Staffing Specialist.
Return phone calls on a regular basis, answering applicant questions.
Learn and maintain knowledge of job descriptions, requirements, and client needs.
Communicate frequently with team members on results and issues.
Assist Staffing Specialist with formulating candidate lists for open orders.
Fill in to cover receptionist duties when required – answering phones and processing applicants.
Recruit qualified candidates through online sourcing portals such as the MAU website, Indeed, and marketing lead generation.
Schedule appointments for interviews, pre-screening assessments, client interviews, and orientations.
Participate in MAU safety activities including annual branch safety projects and required safety training.
Build and maintain working knowledge of basic state/federal employment guidelines to remain compliant.

- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in customer service or a professional work environment

- HR certifications or staffing certifications are a plus
- Experience working with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
- 2- or 4-year degree in Business, Communications or Human Resources

Work Environment or Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Further, this job may require occasional presence at customer sites to observe and engage MAU Associates both in administrative and manufacturing environments. Customer sites sometimes include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles. Environments may vary from non-temperature-controlled environments to GMP clean room required.
