Our Fond du Lac, WI Division is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join their team.

 

JOB DUTIES:

The Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of both common and special inventory for the branch.

 

Specific job duties include:

  • Review the forecasts of major customers and takes appropriate actions to ensure appropriate stock levels.
  • Review orders placed by Corporate Purchasing Department and Transfer Shipments from other branch locations. 
  • Managing aging inventory.
  • Monitor open POs for the possibility of canceling or moving out; expedite as necessary.
  • Determine if mill overages will be accepted and handle already received overages.
  • Update stock screen memos and reserves.
  • Communicates effectively with the transportation personnel. 
  • Acts as backup for the Account Coordinators as needed. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of business-related experience - metals industry preferred.  This position requires an aggressive self-starter who is goal-oriented and a team player.  The successful candidate must possess proven analytical skills, advanced knowledge of MS Excel, high attention to detail, and effective communication skills.  A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field of study is preferred.
