Description

The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity across the

organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role ensures inventory records are accurate, inventory

transactions are processed correctly, and inventory control procedures support both operational and financial

objectives. The Inventory Control Analyst partners closely with Finance, Logistics, Operations, and IT to identify

and resolve discrepancies, improve inventory processes, and support inventory audits and compliance

requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records. 
  • Monitor inventory transactions and identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and system accuracy. 
  • Maintain overall inventory accuracy through routine audits, reconciliations, and data analysis. 
  • Oversee the cycle count program, including scheduling, execution, reconciliation, and reporting of results. 
  • Support and coordinate physical inventory counts, including counts required by banking institutions, external auditors, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Review inventory movement transactions, adjustments, transfers, and variances to ensure compliance with established procedures. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Logistics, Operations, and IT to improve inventory management processes and system functionality. 
  • Analyze inventory trends and variances and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. 
  • Prepare inventory reports and metrics for management review. 
  • Assist with month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control policies, procedures, and internal controls. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and operational      efficiency. 
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

  • The Inventory Control Analyst will work cross-functionally across the organization.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, MRP systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed while managing multiple priorities. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions. 
  • Understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation processes.

Language and Teamwork Required

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills dealing with issues in a positive, complete manner.
  • Must be able to converse verbally and in writing using fluent English.
  • Demonstrated  capability to function within a cross functional team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively without close supervision.
  • Flexibility in work assignments.
  • Ability to seek out, listen and value inputs from all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to exercise professionalism, courtesy and tact in dealing with all members within the Sellars organization, as well as, with external resources.

  • Ability to read and interpret the production schedule and associated documents.

Education and Experience Required

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory control, inventory management, warehousing, manufacturing, or related experience preferred. 
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP and warehouse management systems required.
