  •  

    We are looking for an hourly Inventory Control Associate.
    Schedule is 
    Monday to Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm

     

    BASIC FUNCTION

    Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Inventory Control associate is responsible for performing inventory cycle counts / reconciliation functions for the ( 3 ) NJ warehouse locations and any off-site storage locations.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensures the appropriate training and use of safety devices and power industrial equipment, general housekeeping, and maintains awareness for hazardous conditions and practices are being adhere to.
    • Administers a method of cycle counts to control and monitor locations for finish goods / semi-finished goods/raw material and corrugated cardboard. This procedure is for the NJ Warehouses and further additions.
    • Assist with the investigation and root cause analysis of OS&D customer claims.
    • The role carries responsibility for working with purchasing,receiving,shipping and other business functions as required
    • Maintain raw material Inventory levels for manufacturing area
    • Supports facility maintenance and supports purchase order entry across the NJ warehouses

     

    ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Establishment of inventory schedule / aisles to be counted.
    • Provide warehouse management personnel with daily cycle count schedule status.
    • Wok with Warehouse Manager to investigate and reconcile all identified inventory discrepancies. Maintain / provide metrics of inventory data. Initiates inventory adjustments for all inventory related discrepancies in a timely manner after the investigation and research efforts have been exhausted.
    • Communicates product shortages to Supervisor / Warehouse Mgr. so that alternative available options are exercised in product substitutions / repack to avoid customer backorders.

     

    Other

    • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.

     

     

 

Requirements

  •  

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • A personal value system encompassing a strong work ethic, integrity, and stability
    • Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and bin locations, as well as its numerical system with regards to unit of measure.
    • Strong computer skills : EXCEL
    • Strong analytical mind for investigating contributors / root cause analysis
    • The ability to work in Sabert’s culture, which is fast-paced and requires it’s team members to be flexible with changing customer demands
    • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to work independently or in a group setting

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • College degree and/or related experience combined
    • Knowledge of SAP
    • Strong computer skills
    • Proficient math skills in units of measurement and multiples, divisions, additions, subtractions.
    • Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job
    • Dependable team member who is flexible that can work necessary time for business requirements.

     

    ENVIROMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Indoor work environment with both hot / humid or cold temperature changes based upon seasonal climate
    • Will work around moving machinery such as power industrial trucks
    • Must wear steel toe shoes and other Personal Protection Equipment as specified by management personnel
    • Extensive standing / walking while assigned to various warehouse operational task and assignments.
    • Heavy Work : Ability to continually lift / grasp / reach product weighing up to 50 pounds
