Job Summary:

The Investment Client Services Representative 2 supports advisors and department staff by managing complex member needs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role enhances the member experience through advanced account support, trading assistance, and team guidance.



Requirements

Essential Job Duties:

  • Performs all duties assigned to a level 1 Investment Client Services Representative
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Main responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to department staff, serving as a resource for escalations and operational questions.
  • Assist with inquiries and provide problem resolution for moderately complex member needs, escalating advanced issues to Financial Advisors as appropriate.
  • Provide enhanced support to Financial Advisors for trading activities and processing trades by proxy with required certification.
  • Oversee and manage the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) list, executing necessary actions in coordination with Financial Advisors.
  • Manage license renewals for Financial Advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Set up new investment accounts, including drafting correspondence, preparing welcome packets, coordinating asset and cash movements, and managing onboarding tasks.
  • Handle deceased accounts with sensitivity, processing forms, filing claims, and facilitating fund transfers.
  • Track annual reviews to ensure compliance with LPL requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Flexible regarding schedule; able to work occasional evenings or Saturdays when needed.  


Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of credit union products and services, features, and benefits.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Solid knowledge of investment products.
  • Solid knowledge of retirement plans.
  • Solid knowledge of Client Relationship Management (CRM) and Investment Management platforms.


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum one year of experience investment client services.
  • Insurance License or ability to obtain within a year of hire.
  • High School Diploma/GED, or more than one year of related experience. 


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
