Location: El Cajon

Schedule: Mon- Fri 11a-5p

Pay: The pay for this position is $21.00 to $21.65.

About the Role:

As a Job Coach in our Janitorial department; you’ll provide person-centered job coaching to a small group (1:3) of individuals working in janitorial and cleaning services at various job sites. You will teach workplace skills, foster independence, and ensure individuals meet employer expectations while creating a supportive environment for long-term job success

  • Experience in janitorial or custodial work
  • Natural ability to teach and guide others, breaking down tasks into simple, clear steps to ensure understanding and success.

A typical day will include:

  • Coaching individuals to perform janitorial and custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and proper waste disposal.
  • Ensuring work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards.
  • Teaching workplace safety, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Encouraging positive workplace habits such as punctuality, teamwork, and attention to detail.
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting support as needed.
  • Documenting progress and communicating with employers and case managers.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance work is a plus.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

We’d love it if you:

  • Are bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Have experience with case management systems (Therap preferred).
