We are looking for an HR Business Partner – Performance Management who will own the end-to-end performance management function at Vahan AI. This role goes beyond running review cycles—you will be a strategic partner to Business Unit (BU) leaders, designing and implementing performance frameworks, OKR systems, and calibration processes that drive accountability, transparency, and growth across the organization. You will work closely with leadership teams across Sales, Tech, Operations, and Product to build performance rituals from the ground up, implement OKR/KRA management tools, and facilitate performance calibration sessions that ensure fairness and high standards. HR Business Partner – Performance Management About Vahan AI Role Overview What You'll Do Performance Management Ownership Design, implement, and own the end-to-end performance management process for the organization, including goal setting, continuous feedback, quarterly reviews, annual appraisals, and promotions. • Partner directly with BU leaders (Sales Head, CTO, Product Head, Operations Head) to align performance goals with business objectives and translate strategy into measurable outcomes. • Facilitate performance calibration sessions with leadership teams to ensure fair, evidence-based rating distribution, eliminate bias, and maintain transparency across performance evaluations. • Coach managers and leaders on delivering effective feedback, managing underperformance, conducting difficult conversations, and implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). • Define and enforce rating frameworks, promotion criteria, and compensation linkages tied to performance outcomes. • OKR Implementation and Management Lead the design and rollout of OKR frameworks from scratch, working with BU leaders and their teams to set meaningful, measurable objectives and key results aligned with company goals. • Implement OKR/KRA management tools (such as xto10x, GetRhythm, Lattice, or similar platforms) end-to-end—including system configuration, user training, process design, and adoption tracking. • Drive OKR cadence and rituals: quarterly planning, mid-quarter check-ins, end-of-quarter reviews, and scoring mechanisms. • Partner with teams to build accountability into goal-setting processes, ensuring OKRs are ambitious, transparent, and tracked rigorously. • Use OKR data and performance insights to inform calibration decisions, promotion recommendations, and talent planning. • Strategic Partnering with BU Leaders and Teams Act as a trusted advisor to BU leaders on all performance-related matters—goal alignment, team capability building, succession planning, and talent development. • Support leaders in cascading organizational goals into team and individual OKRs, ensuring line-of-sight from company vision to day-to-day execution. • Participate actively in leadership meetings to provide performance insights, talent health updates, and recommendations for org-level interventions. • Partner with teams under BU leaders to ensure they understand performance expectations, receive timely feedback, and have clear development paths. • Culture of High Performance Build and champion a high-performance culture grounded in transparency, accountability, continuous feedback, and fairness. • Design manager enablement programs—training on OKR setting, feedback delivery, calibration participation, and performance conversations. • Use performance and engagement data (eNPS, attrition, promotion rates, OKR completion) to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions. • Drive adoption of performance tools and processes across the organization, ensuring seamless integration with existing People systems. • What We Expect from You Must-Have Experience 3–5 years of HR experience with at least 2–3 years in a performance management, HRBP, or People Partner role. • Hands-on experience owning performance management cycles for Business Unit leaders and their teams—including goal setting, reviews, calibrations, PIPs, and promotions. • Active participation in and/or facilitation of performance calibration sessions with senior leadership, including managing • rating distributions, resolving disputes, and ensuring fairness. Proven experience implementing OKR/KRA management systems from scratch on platforms such as xto10x, GetRhythm, Lattice, Peoplebox, 15Five, or similar tools—not just usage, but full implementation (configuration, rollout, training, adoption). • Strong understanding of OKR frameworks and best practices; ability to coach leaders and teams on setting effective objectives and key results. • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth product companies or SaaS/tech startups where performance management is a strategic lever for growth. • Skills and Competencies Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities— comfortable translating business goals into performance frameworks and operationalizing them at scale. • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills; ability to partner with and challenge senior leaders constructively. • Strong coaching and facilitation skills; comfortable running calibration meetings, resolving conflicts, and driving difficult performance conversations. • Data-driven mindset; comfortable analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and using insights to inform decisions. • High ownership and accountability; bias for action and ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate performance philosophy and frameworks clearly to diverse audiences. • Educational Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field. • • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or CIPD are a plus.
