Core Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Insights
Conduct complex data analysis (descriptive, inferential, predictive where applicable)
Interpret results and translate into actionable business insights
Identify trends in healthcare and health insurance data
Strategic Decision Support
Partner with stakeholders to define business needs and data requirements
Support data-driven decision-making across functional areas
Evaluate impact of business decisions on members, operations, and outcomes
Data Preparation & SQL Development (Core Focus)
Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data
Create data files in specific formats for vendor or business use
Integrate and consolidate data from multiple systems
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality
Data Analysis Across Systems
Compare and validate data across multiple sources
Identify discrepancies and resolve data inconsistencies
Compile and document data requirements and logic
Data Interpretation & Communication
Develop reports, summaries, and presentations
Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Provide updates on progress, risks, and challenges
Project Execution
Support or lead analytics-focused projects
Develop work plans and ensure timely delivery of outputs
Operate independently with minimal oversight
Education Requirements
Required: College degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent experience)
Experience Requirements
Required:
5+ years of SQL experience (critical)
5–10 years of healthcare experience (strongly preferred)
Technical Skills
Required
Advanced SQL (must-have)
Strong data analysis and data manipulation experience
Experience working with multiple data sources and systems
Preferred
Healthcare data systems and environments
Experience with analytics tools and reporting
