Your Opportunity

Stantec is looking for a professional and self-motivated Landscape Designer/Architect. Currently, this role is a hybrid work schedule. Your responsibilities will include preparing construction documents, site visits and observation reports, sketching, CAD and computer graphics production, and participation in design reviews under the guidance of our Landscape Architecture team members. Preferred office locations: Sacramento, San Francisco, Irvine, Reno, Las Vegas, Nashville or potential fully remote, depending on the experience. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Presentation graphics, reports and exhibits for conceptual designs, master plans, client meetings, field visits and community workshops.
  • Prepare construction documents including layout plans, planting plans, irrigation plans, grading plans, design details, cost estimates and specifications.
  • Prepare Sketchup models and renderings.
  • Site analysis and design concept development for projects and master plans, including digital and hand-drawn plans, sections, elevations, and perspectives.
  • Design development and preparation of contract documents using CAD.
  • Production of project renderings and report graphics.
  • Participate in ongoing skill development activities.
  • Must have a good driving record, and valid driver’s license. 

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills: written, graphic, and verbal
  • Sketchup, Photoshop and other graphic programs preferred but not required
  • LandFX preferred but not required
  • Lumion, MicroStation and/or InDesign experience is preferred but not required
  • Visual resource assessment understanding or experience is preferred but not required
  • Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
