Job Description

Laundry Attendant-

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for distributing and organizing employee uniforms, along with day-to-day laundry operations. Then laundry attendants must follow all housekeeping department procedures, safety guidelines, rules of cleanliness and club policies.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES and other duties as assigned related to this position.

 

Receives, sorts, and distributes clean uniforms to employees according to department specifications.

 

Operates and maintains linen/uniform room.

 

Cleans and maintains uniforms, Member/Guest Laundry, the linen/terry for several operations including, but not limited to: Accommodations, Spa, Beauty, Fitness, Golf, Tennis, & all Food & Beverage outlets.

 

Follow guidelines for weighing loads to ensure appropriate load poundage.

 

Pre-treats all stains with the proper Ecolab chemicals.

 

Inspects uniforms for damage, missing buttons, and rips, if any of these findings the uniforms must be fixed or replaced.

 

Removes substandard uniforms from circulation and issues replacements.

 

Folds and organize clean linen/terry, correctly and safely stored.

 

Never mix department linens, example: Spa with Housekeeping; all linen gets washed separately. (Spa, Dorms, Housekeeping, F&B).

 

Operates and maintains all laundry equipment; machines clean, lint removal from dryers, laundry clean and organized, sweep/mop.

 

Operates and cleans laundry equipment daily (Washers, dryers, sink areas, irons, mangler).

 

Laundry attendants may assist with other tasks as needed, during Club Events, such as assisting with traffic control, turndown services, bathroom attendant duties.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required and have a minimum of one (1) year of Laundry and/or Housekeeping-related experience; or equivalent combination of training and/or experience in a high-end, high-volume hospitality environment.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires a valid Driver’s License.
