The Machine Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating Press Operations, leading a team of machine operators, and contributing to the continuous improvement of production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication operation processes (Automation, Indexing, and Transfer Systems), leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring high-quality production.
Position Responsibilities may include:
- Lead a team of machine operators, assign tasks, and monitor performance to achieve production goals.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality machined components.
- Oversee the setup, programming, and maintenance of Press equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Train new machine operators and provide ongoing training to existing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for the operations team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in Fabrication Operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to address production challenges and meet organizational goals.
- Participate in additional projects/activities as needed.

Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient in operating and programming Presses, knowledge of various fabrication operations processes, and familiarity with relevant software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve production targets.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges in fabrication operations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate with team members and other departments.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- In addition, perform any other jobs / task assigned by Management.
Experience:
- 3 plus years of Fabrication Operations experience
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma required along with in-house training: LOTO–Affected, Overhead Crane, Electric Push/Pull Cart, Phase1 Die Setter, Advanced Blueprint Reading, Automation Class & Audit where Applicable, FPI & LPI where Applicable.
