Duties

You will collect, interpret, and analyze internal operations and shipbuilder procurement, production and quality data, and vendor's Government Source Inspection data, and develop special reports to assess performance trends and improvements.,You will conduct procedure evaluations of contractor's material processes, participate in shipboard product verification inspections on a limited basis, and oversee corrective actions in assigned areas.,Incumbent acts to resolve problems which may arise during inspections, installation and tests and issues Corrective Action Requests (CARs), or other appropriate reports, to prevent recurrence of these problems on follow ships/programs,You will maintain metrics relative to the completion status of ships under simultaneous construction, enabling quick and accurate statuses and assessments for managers and directors, SUPSHIP directorate managers and Navy program representatives.,You will maintain familiarity with a variety of requirements and specifications such as contracts specifications; detailed drawings; Commercial, Government and Military standards; command and other applicable personnel regulations and guidance.,You will continually monitor the capability of the builder’s processes, regularly audit their in-process execution and inspect the final products produced.,You will utilize specialized electronic databases, provides detailed and retrievable documentation of all Quality and Performance aspects directly observed.,You will retrieve and analyze group recorded quality data to analyze trends, populate assessments, and support recommendations. You will prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information as required.,You will communicate the command's strategic plan, mission, vision and values to the team and assures they're integrated into the team's individual strategies, goals, objectives, surveillance and sampling plans.,You will monitor their execution and application to the fabrication, installation, activation, testing and trials of shipboard systems and products, and builders' services.,You will plan and apply QA methods and techniques to audit and monitor the Contractor's QA system and processes; production, waterfront and storage facilities; industrial safety, fire and security programs; and varied qualification programs.,You will guide the team in the identification and application of problem-solving methods and techniques, provide counsel on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the member's efforts toward realizing the most viable solution.,You will monitor subsequent efforts to both assure the product delivered adheres to referenced standards, that corrective actions prove successful, and adequate to prevent recurrence.,You will serve as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and building activities among team members; monitor and report on the status of work, maintain visibility of work in progress and review completed products.,You will assure proficiency and certifications are maintained in the specified disciplines, as required.,You will support technical activity for quality assurance oversight as required with design conflict resolutions, i.e., Affordability Cost Candidates, Field Modification Requests, Government and Contractor Trial Card resolutions, etc.,You will apply knowledge and experience to the functionality and producibility of submitted designs. You will development of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout the item's life cycle.,You will monitor operations to prevent the production of defects and to verify adherence to quality plans and requirements; analysis and investigation of adverse quality trends or conditions and initiation of corrective action.,You will coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor; assist the Supervisor in developing both recurring and irregular reports and positions, for presentation to Command and program staff.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: monitoring and evaluating contractor quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications related to supply chain management and procurement processes.
