Position: Restaurant Lead Server (Permanent Full-Time)
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
SUMMARY
The Royal Canadian Yacht Club is seeking an experienced and service-focused Lead Server – Restaurants to join our Food & Beverage team.
The Lead Server is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the Restaurant while providing leadership and guidance to the front-of-house team. This position helps ensure Members and Guests consistently receive exceptional service while maintaining RCYC service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead by example and support the restaurant service team during daily operations.
Deliver exceptional, personalized service to Members and Guests.
Assist with pre-shift meetings, coach team members, and maintain service standards.
Coordinate with the Kitchen, Bar, and Banquet teams to ensure efficient service.
Resolve Member and Guest concerns professionally and promote a positive dining experience.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, food handling, and Club policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 2 years of serving experience in a private club, upscale restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for hospitality and Member service.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Smart Serve Certification (required).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Will be working both at the Island Clubhouse and City Clubhouse.
Wage Information: $25.46 per hour
