Job Description

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for a high energy, positive attitude, team-minded Lead Truck Driver to join our team! Job Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Assists in providing direction and modeling of job duties to other Truck Drivers.
  • Assists in loading and unloading of trucks. Packages and bundles material for transporting
  • Drives company-owned trucks to various locations.
  • Operates textile baler and tow motor/forklift after equipment training is received, if applicable. 
    Please Note:  Goodwill prohibits minors (under the age of 18) to operate equipment such as balers, compactors, and forklifts in accordance with the child labor laws.
  • Follows all safety procedures and corrects safety issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Industrial truck driving ability and must pass a Department of Transportation medical examination and maintain a valid DOT medical card while operating a company truck.
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable for company-provided insurance.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift/carry 30 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
