Job Description
Jacksonville Treatment Center is a private outpatient medicated assisted treatment program offering substance abuse treatment to individuals with a substance use disorder of opiates. The Jacksonville Treatment Center provides a caring and therapeutic environment. Certified substance abuse counselors, licensed nurses, and a physician are on staff to deliver the best care. The mission of our treatment program is to provide opportunities for patients to explore change and strengthen themselves so they can lead healthy and productive lives. We are searching for a Licensed Practical Nurse dedicated to the mission.

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 5 am-1 pm. Saturday 6:30 am-9:30 am. Hours and schedules will be discussed during the interview. 

Qualification Requirements:
  • A nursing License is required from an accredited school.
  • Valid NC nursing license.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with the treatment team.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professional ethics and confidentiality as Federal Law outlines.
  • CPR/First Aid.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications based on medical orders.
  • Maintain management of medication inventory.
  • Assist the Medical Director in crisis interventions.
  • Monitors the patients' demeanor in the phase of medication induction and during all medication administration.
  • Identifies and reports any critical incidents to the Medical Director.
  • Observe urine drug screens, as needed.
  • Follow state and federal guidelines governing Opioid Treatment Programs.
