We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation paralegal to join our Charleston office. 

This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program

  • 1–3 years of litigation paralegal experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Professional demeanor with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities efficiently

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Review case files, pleadings, and incoming correspondence; calendar and track deadlines

  • Assist with discovery, including drafting responses, coordinating document production, and following up on outstanding items

  • Interview clients and witnesses; summarize case facts and discovery responses

  • Request and review records (medical, SLED, driving, personnel, FOIA, project files)

  • Conduct approved social media and internet searches

  • Prepare deposition notices, subpoenas, and assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation

  • Prepare medical chronologies and case summaries

  • Assist with settlement documents and ensure execution and filing

  • Meet monthly billing expectations

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff; perform other assigned duties
