Load Securement Specialist (2nd Shift) Position Summary

The Load Securement Specialist plays a vital role in supporting our Corsicana, TX glass and general freight operations by ensuring loads are safely and properly secured prior to transport. This position works directly with drivers during live loads, prepares and secures preloads, and follows all company and customer safety policies. The role requires strong communication skills, mechanical awareness, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work under time pressure while maintaining safety and accuracy. Success in this position requires attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to maintaining positive working relationships with internal staff and external customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Glass Securement // Properly secures glass freight using approved methods to ensure safe and effective transport.
  • Driver Coordination // Works directly with inbound drivers during live loading to ensure proper loading, securement, and communication.
  • Operational Communication // Maintains clear communication with customers, drivers, and internal departments to support smooth operations.
  • Issue Reporting // Reports loading, equipment, and material concerns to the Lead Load Securement Specialist or Supervisor.
  • Conflict Resolution // Utilizes interpersonal skills and professionalism to resolve problems tactfully and maintain positive relationships.
  • Time-Sensitive Execution // Performs required duties efficiently under frequent time pressures to meet operational schedules.
  • Additional Duties // Completes other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Load Securement Specialist or Supervisor.

  • Load Expertise // Understands glass handling concepts including point loading, securement placement, and related equipment.
  • Mechanical Aptitude // Applies practical mechanical knowledge to handle glass securement tools and materials.

  • Team Collaboration // Works cooperatively with load securement staff, drivers, and shop personnel to complete tasks effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

A High School Diploma, or equivalent, and at least one (1) year of experience in glass loading and securement. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Glass Knowledge // Demonstrates knowledge of glass equipment, its operation, and required loading techniques.
  • Load Sheet Reading // Reads and interprets loadout sheets accurately to determine securement needs.
  • Securement Skills // Uses proper techniques to secure glass safely and in alignment with customer and company standards.
  • Physical Capability // Performs physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds and completing frequent movement activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Securement Experience // Brings prior experience in high-volume glass operations or specialized securement environments.
  • Material Handling // Demonstrates familiarity with securement equipment, tools, and preparation of load protection materials.
  • Customer Interaction // Has experience working directly with customers in operational or logistics settings.

Salary and Schedule

  • Salary // Pay will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • Schedule // This position is located in Corsicana, TX and is on-site. The working days are Monday–Friday, and the working hours are 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM.
