Job Description

Summary:



Responsible for duties associated with the daily flow of work and information necessary in preparing loans for closing and in assisting customers. Ensure compliance regulations are met and organization policies and procedures are followed. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan files.



Duties:




  • Assist loan officer(s) with the processing of commercial and consumer loans, ensuring compliance in all areas. Gather documents and complete all necessary forms and checklists to prepare loan closing packages, ensuring all required documents are included and all internal processes and procedures are followed.

  • Ensure CIP procedures are followed, and files are documented with CIP data.

  • Order appraisals and title work; correspond with title companies to ensure accuracy of title commitments, closing disclosures, settlement statements and title policies.

  • Review loan documents, including RESPA and Reg Z disclosures for accuracy prior to loan closing.

  • Perform loan closings or coordinate closing with title company. Verify that all documents have been properly executed and returned to the Bank after closing.

  • Complete HMDA forms and supporting data when required.

  • Obtain and review various reports with lenders such as technical exceptions, past due loans, maturing loans, etc.

  • Perform transactions for loans, such as loan payments and loan advances. Ensure funds are moved from/to customers accounts properly.

  • Register vehicle titles, file UCCs, Mortgages, Assignments and comply with all necessary documentation to ensure proper collateral is in place to protect the loan.

  • Monitor Teslar for technical exceptions, contact customers and mail exception letters as necessary.

  • Request file maintenance on loan and/or CIF accounts on the core system as necessary.

  • Order payoffs from other financial institutions.

  • Handle customer service calls ensuring accurate information is provided, as well as providing excellent customer service.

  • Assist Loan Operations Manager or Loan Administration Manager with special projects as needed.

  • Promote and refer United Bank products and services and further establish business relationships when possible.

  • Represent United Bank in a positive and professional manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
