Pet Segment is searching for a Truck Driver in our Fort Dodge, IA facility. This position requires a Class A CDL making local deliveries and pick-ups

Location: 1528 Cardinal Avenue, Fort Dodge, IA 50501   

Pay: $26 - $28/hour - depending on years of experience  

Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00am – 3:30pm,  Friday 5:00am - 12:00pm, Overtime as needed.  

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods between two manufacturing facilities.
  • Load and unload products using appropriate equipment as needed.
  • Inspect vehicles daily to ensure compliance with company and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections.
  • Communicate with management regarding any delays, issues, or concerns.
  • Adhere to all safety and traffic laws, as well as company policies.
  • Assist with minor maintenance or troubleshooting of the vehicle, if required.
  • Foster positive relationships with team members and facility staff.
  • Primarily self-driven and organized to meet the needs of all the internal customer.
  • Keeps track of annual trailer inspections and notifies management when they are due.
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in operating commercial vehicles, preferably in a local route or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and local/state traffic laws.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
