Neiman Enterprises is a third-generation family-owned forest products company specializing in sustainable timber harvesting and processing. We manufacture premium ponderosa pine lumber and wood pellets for the housing and construction industries across multiple states. As a forward-thinking company, we combine environmental stewardship with quality craftsmanship, operating sawmills in Wyoming, South Dakota, Colorado, and Oregon.

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced and reliable Log Truck Drivers to join our growing logistics team. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting raw logs from harvest sites to our sawmill facilities. This role is critical to maintaining our supply chain and supporting our commitment to quality forest products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial log trucks to transport logs from timber operations to sawmill facilities
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain logs of inspections
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, hours of service requirements, and company safety policies
  • Navigate remote forest roads and varying terrain safely and efficiently
  • Secure loads properly according to industry standards and company guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and deliveries
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding delivery status and route conditions
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with current Medical Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of professional truck driving experience
  • Proven experience driving log trucks or similar heavy hauling (preferred)
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
  • Knowledge of weight and load regulations
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including early mornings and potential overtime

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with forest products or logging industry
  • Knowledge of ponderosa pine timber operations
  • Hazmat endorsement on CDL
  • Previous experience with rural/forest road navigation
  • Excellent safety record

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Capable of working in variable weather conditions
  • Comfortable operating heavy equipment for extended periods
  • Sound physical health to meet DOT requirements
