What You Will Do
As the Logistics & Transportation Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating warehouse transportation, freight, transfers, and shipment activities to ensure material and finished products are delivered accurately and on time. This role serves as the primary point of contact for transportation scheduling, freight coordination, transfer processing, fleet support, and shipment execution while providing operational support to warehouse personnel and project teams. The Logistics & Transportation Coordinator works closely with Project Management, Production, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Warehouse Operations to ensure efficient movement of material across all company locations and customer sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery Coordination
- Schedule company drivers for deliveries and material transfers.
- Coordinate local and regional delivery routes.
- Monitor delivery schedules and adjust priorities as business needs change.
- Communicate delivery status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all required delivery documentation is completed and maintained.
Freight & Shipment Management
- Obtain freight quotes from approved carriers.
- Evaluate freight options based on cost, transit time, and service requirements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments.
- Create shipment documentation and shipping paperwork.
- Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and resolve freight-related issues.
Material Transfers
- Process intercompany and inter-warehouse transfers.
- Coordinate movement of material between company facilities.
- Prepare and maintain transfer documentation.
- Investigate and resolve transfer discrepancies.
- Support inventory accuracy during transfer activities.
Panel & Material Logistics
- Coordinate finished panel shipments.
- Assist with panel movement, adjustments, and location management.
- Research material and panel locations when requested by project teams.
- Support material issue resolution and inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with Inventory ID research and corrections.
Fleet & Equipment Coordination
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Manage forklift maintenance and service requirements.
- Arrange propane refills for warehouse equipment.
- Coordinate vehicle rentals when required.
- Maintain fleet-related records and documentation.
What You Will Bring
The Basic
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, transportation coordination, shipping, receiving, inventory control, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating freight shipments, deliveries, or material transfers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to accurately maintain records, documentation, and shipment information.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
The Preferred
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, controls, automation, or distribution environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Acumatica or similar inventory management software.
- Knowledge of freight carriers, LTL/FTL shipping, routing, and transportation best practices.
- Experience coordinating fleet maintenance and vehicle scheduling.
- Understanding of inventory control processes and warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification or prior experience operating material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of DOT transportation requirements and shipping regulations.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
