Job Description: (Temporary) Maintenance Worker

Rancho Community Church & Christian Schools

Title: ( Temporary ) Maintenance Worker

Supervisor: Operations Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

 

Position Description: (This position is temporary) Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Maintenance Worker participates directly in maintaining the upkeep and appearance of the location, primarily building maintenance. This position is expected to display and practice a work style that reflects the mission and values of Rancho Community Church and Schools.

 

Spiritual Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrate a passion for Christ and his Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry. 
  • Seek to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability and service to his Kingdom. 

 

Professional Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 1–3 years maintenance and/or landscaping experience.
  • Skills: Must be able to do basic math and read a tape measure.
  • Basic Knowledge in carpentry, construction, electrical, HVAC, janitorial and/or plumbing.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and responsibly in an ever-changing environment.

 

Job Specific Duties:

  • Communicates and demonstrates safe practices in accordance with OSHA 
  • Perform maintenance work daily under the direction of supervisor according to Maintenance schedules
  • Demonstrate safe practices in the department
  • Maintain all aspects of cleanliness and maintenance under the direction of the supervisor
  • Participate in Operations projects according to the Operations schedules
  • Demonstrate teamwork in the department

 

Other Expectations:

  • Keep phone, email and text communications responsive
  • Focus on safety.
  • Take pride in quality of work.
  • Utilize analytical/troubleshooting skills to assist in diagnostic procedures to improve efficiency.  
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow schedules and multi-task.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
