Position Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems in our production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair plant equipment, including motor controls, chain drives, conveyor speeds, and lubrication of mechanical parts.
  • Welding & Fabrication: Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to support repairs and modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues by collaborating with supervisors and maintenance team members.
  • Install and repair electrical systems (120-480 volts).
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain dust collection systems and other pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform building maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines as needed.
  • Fabricate racks, tables, fixtures, and other components to support production needs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in performing the essential duties listed above.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures is required.
  • Comfortable working at heights when necessary.
  • One year of technical school training OR 3-6 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Work location: 3928 Ross Lane, Chanute, KS 66720

Shift: Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
(Overtime as required after hours/Saturdays, as necessary.)
 
Hourly Compensation: $20.00 - $35.00/hour
Wage ranges are commensurate with experience.
