Job Description

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant production and facility equipment. This role focuses heavily on practical, hands-on mechanical work—including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and general plant machinery—to keep production moving safely and efficiently. We value strong mechanical aptitude, a solid work ethic, and reliability above all else.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical & Mechanical Operations

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical breakdowns on production lines, heavy conveyors, and facility equipment.

  • Inspect machinery for proper functioning and perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks (greasing, tracking, replacing wear parts).

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems (including cylinders, pumps, valves, and lines).

  • Safely operate basic shop tools including grinders, cut-off saws, and power tools.

  • Welding and fabrication experience is considered a strong asset, but is not required.

Safety & Teamwork

  • Strictly adhere to all plant safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and mandatory PPE guidelines.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Work collaboratively with shift supervisors and team members to ensure work orders are completed accurately.

  • Safely operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, skid loaders, and man-lifts (onsite training and certification will be provided).
