Position Summary



This position is responsible for the execution of timely and precise repairs to production equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner.  This includes planning of work and time, and the ability to work with others in the trade in an instructive way.



Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities




  • Provides mechanical maintenance and repairs to all production equipment

  • Performs mechanical maintenance with respect to all fabricating and welding functions

  • Executes major tasks in regard to preventative maintenance work, implementation of productivity improvement systems, and building related work

  • Performs minor electrical repairs to equipment and building

  • Helps investigate recurring mechanical problems and proposes solution



Supervisory Responsibilities:



None



Required Skills/Abilities




  • Mechanical and electrical trouble shooting and problem solving

  • Communication Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a dirty environment

  • Ability to work from heights



Education and Experience




  • Excellent knowledge of hydraulic systems, welding, arc welding and fabrication. 

  • Good communication skills are needed to provide and receive instruction, discuss mechanical problems, and read specifications

  • Fully qualified millwright mechanic combined with two - (2) years of experience with production mechanical systems preferred.
