Job Description

SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE



Perform a variety of repair tasks, in addition to preventative maintenance activities.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES




Repairs






  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests.

  • Perform repairs for plumbing, electrical and mechanical.

  • Troubleshoot issues to identify source of problem and recommend solution.

  • Perform repairs on landscaping, including sprinklers and pavers.




Preventative Maintenance/Landscaping






  • Perform interior Villa maintenance to include: painting, lighting and pest control.

  • Assist with power washing for outside areas.

  • Identify and provide solutions for safety concerns/issues.

  • Perform basic inspection of elevators and doors.

  • Assist with landscaping maintenance.




Guests & Volunteers






  • Welcome and acknowledge all guest according to company standards.

  • Anticipate and address guest needs.

  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.

  • Open venues in the morning (AM shift.)

  • Provide vehicle training for volunteers.



Additional Activities




  • Provide training and mentoring to Engineer I.

  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including conducting rounds and perform readings.



All other duties as assigned



PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT




  • Ability to lift 45lbs without assistance.

  • Ability to work in small, confined, poorly lit or non-air-conditioned spaces or environment.

  • Ability to repetitively reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.

  • Able to work a flexible shift to meet department needs, this includes availability for days, nights, weekends and extended hours.

  • Able to work in outdoor weather conditions.



 






Qualifications

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE




  • Ability to perform wall maintenance and repair.

  • Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting/repair of all hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy. conservation and general building management.

  • Ability to interact well with guests in order to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Ability to initiate actions based on ones own interpretation or understanding of a situation.

  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail and quality product.

  • Ability to communicate, understand, speak, read, write English to communicate with guests, staff and vendors.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position.

  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • High School Diploma

  • 3-5 years of related experience

  • Vocational training, preferred

  • Hospitality experience, preferred
