Ready to join a U.S. Best Managed Company? At KENT Worldwide™, we’re seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Superior, WI Facility.

The position of Maintenance Mechanic is required to follow all safety procedures and lockout tag steps.  Does routine installations, repairs, and replacement of equipment in all areas of operations.  The Maintenance Mechanic position exists to ensure equipment, processes, and building is maintained to meet customer specifications, in doing so, equipment has to be monitored by the mechanic.  The primary focus of the Maintenance Mechanic is to insure the production line is running.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely perform routine installations, repairs and maintenance on production equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Safely troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot PLCs and other control systems.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in development and implementation of maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Assists with audits and inspections by outside agencies
  • Maintaining cleanliness of  assigned areas.
  • Must show ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
  • Must communicate with Supervisor and Production departments to understand equipment issues and give direction on proper operation.
  • Clear snow using snowblower and shovel. Salt the walking surfaces.
  • Mow the lawn, use line trimmer, and spray weedkiller.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
  • Other duties as manager sees fit
