Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Building & Grounds
Reports To: Manager Building & Grounds
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, basic HVAC, vehicles, and minor electrical tasks. Serves as backup to the Building & Grounds Manager by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintenance Duties
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
Repairs and maintains the physical structure of establishment.
Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
Ensure that buildings and vehicles are maintained in an operational and safe condition.
Promptly repair any plumbing, minor electrical tasks or other utility problems.
Sidewalks and driveways are salted and/or cleared of snow/ice in advance and during business hours.
Assist in any electrical or plumbing problems.
Assist Building & Ground Manager in purchasing supplies necessary for completion of maintenance, projects and repairs.
All vehicles are serviced according to vehicle manufacturer specifications.
Repair appliances and machinery
Perform welding tasks. (preferred but not required)
Operates forklift for warehouse materials as needed.
Support Public Relations Department on special projects
Confidential information must be treated with respect and maintained as confidential, disclosing/sharing only as job requires for business operations.
Serves as backup to the Building & Grounds Manager

Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
