This position is onsite in Ozark, AL. Initial training will take place at our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, TX for five months. Additional travel may be required based on business needs.
Flight School Next – Maintenance Trainer
Bring your experience and skills and help us instruct Bell maintenance personnel and subcontractor maintenance personnel on maintenance actions for the Bell 505 for Flight School Next. You’ll develop, deliver, and continuously improve high-quality maintenance training to the satisfaction of contract specifications and in compliance with regulations from agencies like the FAA, United States Army, and Aviation Center of Excellence based on your extensive technical knowledge of maintaining, but not limited to, the following systems for Bell aircraft: hydraulics, fuel system, powertrain, rotating controls, powerplant systems, and avionics/electrical systems. This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with subcontractors and fellow instructors.
What you’ll be doing as a Maintenance Trainer
Develop and deliver specialized maintenance training courses that meet contract specifications, regulations, and instructional goals and objectives for maintenance personnel training, develop a rapport with the maintenance personnel.
Evaluate learner performance through various check on learning methods that may include written tests, practical skill checks, oral evaluations, and on-the-job observation.
Prepare classroom for each class and deliver the presentation of the course materials to the maintenance personnel.
Maintain the Ozark shop training areas in a clean and orderly appearance.
Work with the Training Support Development team to update courseware or build courseware as needed.
Work with the Training Support Development team to develop, support, and update training devices as required
Document training accurately and maintain records to audit standard
May travel as required as part of Flight School Next requirements
Skills You Bring To this Role
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years of aircraft maintenance with 5+ years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting on Bell products.
Must possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate or FCC General Radio Telephone license.
Extensive knowledge of Bell aircraft, preferably the Bell 505
Skilled at using MS Office software.
Ability to prioritize work, strong customer comes first attitude, and a positive team player.
Excellent communicator that must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, and brief leaders/peers.
Experienced in providing individual and group instruction.
