About the Department
The Village of Greendale is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Management Analyst. Under the general direction of the Village Manager, the Management Analyst performs a combination of administrative, analytical, project management, communications, and organizational development work. The position provides day-to-day administrative support to the Village Manager’s Office while also assisting with public communications, strategic initiatives, policy development, operational improvement efforts, grant administration, risk and insurance administration, budgeting support, economic development initiatives, and special projects that advance the Village’s goals and objectives.

Position Duties
Conduct research, data collection, analysis, and policy review on a wide variety of municipal issues, programs, and services.
• Coordinate and manage special projects and organizational initiatives assigned by the Village Manager.
• Develop and maintain content for the Village website, social media platforms, newsletters, press releases, and other communication channels.
• Coordinate the Village’s risk management and insurance programs, including administration of liability, property, automobile, and workers’ compensation insurance coverage; assist with training programs, claims management, policy renewals, loss prevention initiatives, and coordination with insurance carriers, brokers, legal counsel, and department staff.
• Coordinate the Village’s response to public records requests; work with Village departments to identify, collect, review, and organize responsive records, coordinate with legal counsel as necessary, and ensure compliance with applicable public records laws, policies, and response deadlines. • Prepare reports, presentations, grant applications, board and committee materials, policy recommendations, and other professional documents.
• Assist with strategic planning, performance measurement, and implementation of Village goals and objectives.
• Research, pursue, administer, and monitor grants and related reporting requirements.
• Coordinate and support economic development, redevelopment, and community engagement initiatives.
• Respond to resident inquiries and assist in resolving issues through effective communication and coordination with Village departments.
• Attend meetings, operate meeting A/V system, and, as needed, prepare agendas and minutes.
• Analyze operational processes and recommend efficiencies and service improvements.
• Provide staff support to boards, commissions, committees, and task forces as assigned.
• Serve as a liaison between departments on assigned projects and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Village Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Communications, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
- At least one year of local government experience (Internship experience may be considered.)
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Benefits
Health Insurance: The Village's plan offered is subject to change each calendar year. Employee is eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following their date of employment. Employee contributes 12% toward monthly premium. The Village offers a $3,000 annual opt-out payment if the employee does not enroll in the insurance due to having other coverage.
Dental Insurance: The Village offers 4 different dental plan options. Specific plan offered is subject to change each calendar year. Employee is eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following their date of employment.
Vision Insurance: Employee is automatically enrolled in a vision plan that is employer paid if they are enrolled in the health insurance. Employee is eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following their date of employment.
FSA: Voluntary enrollment in flexible spending for costs for health and dependent care.
Pension: Wisconsin Retirement Fund. Equal contribution from employee and employer, percentage set by the State annually. In 2026 the employer will contribute 7.20% and the employee 7.20%.
Deferred Compensation: Optional enrollment in a deferred compensation plan for additional retirement savings.
Life Insurance: Basic Life insurance equal to annual salary. Paid for by the Village through the Wisconsin Retirement System. Effective on the first of the month after 30 days of service.

1st year: 1 week
2- 4 years: 2 weeks
5-7 years: 2 weeks and 2 days
8 - 14 years: 3 weeks
15 - 19 years: 4 weeks
20 years: 4 weeks and 1 day
21 years: 4 weeks and 2 days
22 years: 4 weeks and 3 days
23 years: 4 weeks and 4 days
24 years and above: 5 weeks
Sick Leave: 1 day per month (accumulated for a total not to exceed 165 days.
