Job Description

This role exists to drive real business outcomes from data and analytics investments. It sits between business stakeholders and the BI/data team, ensuring the right work gets prioritized, delivered, and adopted across reporting, self-service, and emerging data products.

Today, most solutions are delivered in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, but this will evolve over time. This is a hands-on, delivery-driven role focused on making sure things actually move forward and produce value.

This role requires someone who is comfortable forming and defending opinions on what should be built, not just managing incoming requests.

What You’ll Do

Drive the Work That Matters

  • Act as the intake point for data and analytics requests (reporting, datasets, automation, AI-assisted solutions)

  • Prioritize work based on business value, urgency, and effort

  • Keep the team focused on high-impact outcomes, not just activity

Keep Delivery Moving

  • Maintain visibility into active work, blockers, and timelines

  • Step in as needed to unblock issues and keep things progressing

  • Coordinate across BI, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders

  • Ensure solutions are ready for release (data quality, validation, access, and usability)

Translate Business Needs into Action

  • Work directly with stakeholders to clarify problems and define success

  • Turn vague requests into clear direction the team can execute on

  • Align expectations on scope, tradeoffs, and timelines

Own Outcomes (Not Just Output)

  • Ensure delivered outputs (reports, datasets, automations, or AI-enabled solutions) are actually used

  • Follow up on adoption, usability, and impact

  • Adjust priorities based on what is or isn’t working

Communicate Clearly and Frequently

  • Provide simple, direct updates on progress and risks

  • Make sure stakeholders always know what’s happening and why

  • Act as the single point of contact for active workstreams

What Success Looks Like

  • The right work is getting done at the right time

  • Data and analytics solutions are used and delivering value

  • Stakeholders feel informed, supported, and aligned

  • The team is productive without heavy process overhead

  • Fewer escalations, surprises, and rework

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years Product manager experience

  • Minimum 2 Years experience with data products (Fabric, Power BI, AI Agents)

  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI and modern data/reporting environments (required)

  • Experience delivering data or analytics solutions (reports, datasets, automation, or AI-enabled tools)

  • Demonstrated product-oriented thinking

  • Forms clear opinions on what should (and should not) be built

  • Focuses on outcomes, not just requirements intake

  • Comfortable making tradeoffs and pushing back when needed

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes

  • Ability to prioritize effectively in ambiguous environments

  • Bias toward action and progress over perfection

  • Clear, practical communication style

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms

  • Experience with analytics, automation, or AI-related products in enterprise environments

What This Role Is

  • A delivery-focused role blending coordination, prioritization, and light product thinking

  • A bridge between business needs and technical execution

  • A driver of clarity, momentum, and accountability

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a project manager focused only on timelines and tracking

  • Not a developer role expected to build every solution personally
