Job Description

Manager, Merchandise Strategy & GTM Operations

At ECCO, we believe people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Manger of Merchandise Strategy & GTM Operations to support the regional assortment and pricing architecture across Wholesale and DTC for the Americas (US, Canada), while owning the commercial systems, tools, and reporting infrastructure that enable the broader Merchandising team's go-to-market execution. This role blends traditional merchandising strategy responsibilities with hands-on ownership of the sell-in assets, reporting automation, and competitive intelligence tools the team relies on each season. This role partners closely with Global Categories, Regional Planning, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and IT to deliver customer-relevant assortments, competitive pricing structures, and scalable go-to-market tools and processes.

This hybrid position requires onsite presence at our corporate office located in Salem, NH (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise Strategy & Architecture:

·       Support the Americas regional collection architecture across all categories, ensuring clarity of price tiers, franchise strategy, and SKU optimization by channel and market.

·       Support SKU lifecycle management across DTC and Wholesale, including new launches, carryovers, season skippers, and exits.

·       Identify assortment gaps and commercial opportunities by channel and market, partnering with the Director of Merchandising and Global Categories.

 

Pricing Strategy & Margin Architecture:

·       Drive competitive price benchmarking and ensure price competitiveness by market (US, Canada).

·       Support with the Americas pricing architecture, including price ladders, opening price points, and hierarchy strategy by category.

·       Partner with Finance and Planning to optimize regional margin structure and price/mix performance.

 

Wholesale Go-to-Market Operations:

·   Lead with the development and execution of the Wholesale Go-To-Market product tools, including: linesheets, product decks, and seasonal communication assets.

·    Lead sample management strategy for Wholesale, including: timelines, budgets, ordering, and distribution.

 

Reporting, Systems, & Competitive Intelligence:

·    Build and maintain templates and automation that support recurring assortment, pricing, and performance reporting for internal and account-facing use.

·     Lead competitive intelligence research and translate findings into positioning assets to support category and channel expansion decisions.

 

Analysis, Performance & Governance:

·    Collaborate cross functionally on total collection performance analysis across channels and markets, including sell-through, margin, price/mix, and inventory productivity.

·    Identify business risks and opportunities tied to assortment structure, pricing strategy, and channel mix.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership:

·       Present merchandising, pricing, and go-to-market updates in internal and key account forums as required.

·       Act as a key point of connection across Merchandising, Product, Sales, Planning, Finance and Marketing.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience

·       Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.

·       3+ years of experience in Merchandising, Pricing, Sales Operations, or a related analytical/commercial role.

·       Demonstrated experience building or owning reporting tools, automation, or process systems (e.g., advanced Excel/VBA, Power Automate, or similar) is strongly preferred.

·       Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform decision-making.

 

Minimum Qualifications – Skills & Abilities

·       Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Merchandising and Wholesale Go-To-Market.

·       Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (VBA/macro experience a plus); Proficient with other MS Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and InDesign or similar layout tools a plus.

·       Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and time management skills.

 

Travel Requirements

·       Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 30%.
