The Manager Respiratory Therapy leads a team of care providers by cultivating collaboration,
enthusiasm, and mutual respect during patient treatments, cardiopulmonary testing and procedures.
Promotes positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of
care, improving service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization, and decreasing costs. Under the
manager’s leadership, patients and their families experience the benefits of patient focused care
through the integrated skills of all care team members. The Manager has 24-hour responsibility for
overall planning, organization, direction and evaluation of operations for the Respiratory Department
and is key in operationalizing the health system’s mission, values and goals. The Manager is responsible
for managing, guiding, coaching and evaluating the work performance of care team members in the
Respiratory Department, ensuring ongoing collaboration with other departments/areas that relate
directly or indirectly to patient care operations. The Manager is responsible for decision making within
the scope of the department needs, this may be independently or often in collaboration with the
division director or physician lead(s). The Manager has occasional direct patient care and access to
confidential employee and organizational information. This position functions under the direct
supervision of the Director of the assigned division.

Minimum Qualifications Required Educational Degree: Bachelor's Degree 

Major/Area of Concentration: Allied Health Sciences or Health Administration 

 Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Registered Respiratory Therapist Licensed in the State of Ohio 

Required Experience: 3-5 years clinical experience in area of concentration; 1-2 years supervisory experience in area of concentration
