Job Description

Manual Welder / TIG Welder



Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on various gauges and thicknesses of stainless steel components.




  • Operating TIG Welding equipment. Set up and maintain welding equipment, including torches, gas flow, and filler materials.

  • Grind, polish, and finish welds to meet aesthetic and sanitary standards as required. Fit, align, and tack components prior to final welding.

  • Strong manual welding proficiency, including TIG welding on stainless steel components of varying thicknesses, primarily from 16-gauge to 1/4 inch.

  • Experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, or field installation

  • Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols as well as repair / correct defects

  • Maintains high-quality standards with minimal supervision and adheres to welding compliance

  • Must be able to become qualified in accordance with the requirements of Section IX of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for Manual Welding.

  • Identify various diameter tubing and fittings per customer and DCC specifications.

  • Be able to set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.



Typical Responsibilities:




  • Perform precision orbital and TIG welding on stainless steel or other alloys

  • Support less experienced welders as needed

  • Set up, and operate welding equipment for complex applications

  • Inspect and verify weld integrity per specifications

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior welders and complete repairs

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and process standards

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area

  • Follow safety protocols and supervisor instructions



Qualifications:



Required:




  • 2+ years of TIG welding experience, focused specifically on stainless steel.

  • Strong understanding of stainless-steel welding techniques (e.g., back purging, controlling heat input).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and welding symbols.

  • Familiarity with various joint configurations (butt, lap, corner, etc.).

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.



Pay Range: $24 - 26/ hour
